You will also examine why some social groups such as girls and the middle class do better than others within education. As part of this unit, you will also study the research methods sociologists use and the strengths and limitations of such techniques. As part of the Families and Households topic you will learn about trends within family life in the UK, such as marriage and divorce rates.
