This course will introduce you to methods of exploring and analysing spoken and written language. You will explore a variety of texts from everyday use and how language is used to meet the needs of audience and purpose. You will also learn how to write for a range of purposes, audiences and genres. In addition, you will study how children learn language and how they understand and express themselves in speech and writing.
