The course is designed to provide a comprehensive journey through the systems that control and manage living organisms, including: Physical Chemistry - Atomic Structure and Bonding; Thermodynamics, rate equations and acids and bases; Inorganic Chemistry - The alkaline earth metals (group 2) and halogens (group 7) of the periodic table; Transition metals and the reactions of ions in aqueous solution; Organic Chemistry - The structure and properties of alkanes, alkenes and alcohols; Polymers, aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids.

Possible Careers

Pharmacist, Chemical Engineer, Pharmacologist, Nuclear Engineer, Clinical Scientist, Toxicologist, Forensic Scientist.
